Who cares about the odd dribbling stat?
The FACT of the matter is, we look a much better TEAM without him. That is the be all and end all.
Good player, who will score goals in the position Hull are playing him in, but we have Downing in that role, who has given us a completely different dynamic as an attacking team. He looks sublime this season, and give me his passing, through balls, ball retention, dribbling, creativity over anything that Diame gives you, regardless of what the stats say.

So far this season, of course. Reflects pretty badly on Zarate that if you consider that he's not even playing full games for us (ie there's less time for him to be dispossessed!).

The pattern with Diame is that with both Wigan and West Ham he went off the boil. He will do so again with Hull. I am pleased he came to us on a free and we sold him for £3.5.

If he was consistant he'd be a very good player, problem is as we know he isn't, had a great start with us too but couldn't keep it up.
More bad games than good which is why he is at Hull now.

Yeah Alex, I said pretty much that against Burnley in the first half. He wasn't very good at all.
Still, as long as he keeps scoring, he'll be fine for now.

You're right i-ron. The dribbling (DRB) stat I quoted was actually the amount of times he's been dribbled past, in which he is the Premier League leader :).
He is joint 7th in the dispossessed table with David Silva. Kind of comes with the territory in that role.

V unfortunately dribbling is not much use if you can't pass....or even see a pass
If he scored 10 to 15 goals a season like nolan then you could argue but he doesn't
He's hit a purple patch with goals fair enough but like the game against us where he scored he was absolutely awful
A forward can score but not contribute but unless your in a top team like we've found out with nolan a central midfielder can't that's probably why Hull are not winning games despite him scoring

He is top tackler with an average of 5.2 a game, you're right there,
He's 7th in the premiership for most dispossesed though haha.

His positives they list dribbling, defensive contribution and tackling. Hull's top tackler on the day. Also their most accurate passer.
In fact whoscored currently rate him the best tackler and best dribbler in the Premiership.

Thats why Sam didn't trust him in Centre mid. He got caught in possession or gave the ball away alot.
His awareness was shocking. He is better higher up the pitch...agreed.
